2024 Silver Medal Flowing Hair 230th Anniversary AD CAC MS70 Founders Label

The Flowing Hair dollar, first minted in 1794, holds a unique place in U.S. history as the first silver dollar ever issued. To celebrate the 230th anniversary of this iconic coin, the U.S. Mint has released a stunning recreation in the form of a silver medal. This edition stays true to the original design by Robert Scot, the U.S. Mint’s first Chief Engraver, while incorporating the precision and artistry of modern minting techniques.

This Advanced Release edition stands out with its exclusive Founders Label, hand-signed by Louis Palafoutas, a founding member of CACG and the "L" in LCR Coin. The signature adds a personal touch from one of today’s numismatic leaders, further enhancing the medal’s desirability among serious collectors. Notably, less than 10% of the entire product mintage has received the coveted Advanced Release designation, and even fewer come with the hand-signed Louis Palafoutas label, making this an incredibly rare and valuable piece. Certified as MS70 by CAC, this medal is in perfect, flawless condition, adding to its prestige.

This medal blends numismatic history with modern-day exclusivity, featuring both the 230th-anniversary commemoration and the rare Advanced Release status. The hand-signed Louis Palafoutas label makes this an extraordinary collector’s item, with only a small number available worldwide.

Key Features:

• Extremely Limited Advanced Release: Only a small fraction—less than 10%—of the total mintage carries the Advanced Release designation, making it a highly exclusive offering.
