Designed by James Earle Fraser, the American One-Ounce Gold Buffalo was introduced in 2006 as the first pure .9999 24 Karat gold coin series to be struck by the United States Mint. The design is rooted in American history, inspired by the Indian Head Nickel design of 1913. James Earle Fraser created the iconic portrait after meeting an American bison in real life.
Each 2023 One-Ounce Gold Buffalo has been certified and graded by the Certified Acceptance Corporation (CAC) as being in flawless Mint State-70 (MS70) condition. These coins come sealed in acrylic holders and encapsulated with the new CAC Holder, made in America.
