2023 $50 Gold Buffalo First Day of Issue NGC MS70 Ron Harrigal Signed
The American Gold Buffalo was first issued in 2006 and was the first .9999% fine Gold bullion from the U.S. Mint. The American Buffalo remains very popular with collectors and investors all around the world. NGC has certified and graded this coin as MS70 and designated it First Day of Issue. NGC's encapsulation protects the coin and retains its MS70 condition.
In addition to the certification the coin is hand signed by Ron Harrigal who was the director of design and engraving. Harrigal started his career in 1985 at the US Mint and worked closely with John Mercanti. He was instrumental in creating the US Mints first ever curved coins, privy marks on the v75 and the 2021 Morgan Dollars and saw the transition from the Type 1 to Type 2 gold and silver eagles.
