This 2023 $5 Tenth Ounce Gold Eagle is certified and graded by PCGS as MS70. The Gold Eagle design is in a beautiful finish, with an enhanced version of the classic obverse paired with a new reverse. This perfect example is encased in a gold foil holder and is designated First Day of Issue.
Coin Specifiations:
- Contains 1/10 oz actual Gold weight.
- Mint/Mint Mark: West Point Mint (W)
- Obverse: An updated version of Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ famed Gold Double Eagle design, which features Lady Liberty in front of the Capitol holding in her right hand a fiery torch and an olive branch in her left. Her hair is flowing behind her in the wind signifying forward movement against a background of sun rays.
- Reverse: A bold close-up portrait of an eagle, designed by Jennie Norris. This design is the first new design introduced since the series began in 1986.
- Among the new features is an anti-counterfeit reeded edge variation on the one ounce coin.
- Brand: US Mint
