2021-W $10 Mint Error Gold Eagle T-2 With W NGC MS70 Jennie Norris Signed
This 2021-W $10 Mint Error Gold Eagle T-2 With W has been certified and graded by NGC as MS70. In addition the coin has been hand signed by Jennie Norris, who designed the reverse of the gold eagle. This coin is a Top Pop! The tenth ouce American Eagle Gold Coin contains 91.67 percent of (22-karat) gold.
The 2021 error coin is similar to the $5 and $10 Gold Eagles produced by the U.S. Mint in 1999, where unfinished proof dies were also used and coins were struck showing the W mint mark on a bullion/regular issue. These American Gold Eagle $10 quarter-ounce bullion coins were mistakenly struck with an unfinished proof obverse die. Bullion-strike American Eagle coinage does not bear the West Point Mint facility’s “W” mint mark. The Proof die used to strike the nearly 8,000 mules had not had laser frosting applied to its devices.
