2021 1 oz Canadian .9999 Silver Maple Leaf Coin BU

2021 1 oz Canadian .9999 Silver Maple Leaf Coin BU

The 1 oz Canadian Maple leaf is one of the purest silver bullion coin at .9999 fine. With the inclusion of light-refracting radial lines- as a testament to the Royal Canadian Mint's penchant for innovation and design- this stunning coin has a luster like no other. Combined with an immaculate design, which has endured since its initial release, this globally recognized coin has ensured liquidity. Enhanced security features such as the Royal Canadian Mint's patented bullion DNA means that each 1 oz coin contains a unique privy mark with a micro-engraving of the year it was released, which is only visible under magnification.

Canadian Silver Maple Leafs were introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 1988 at the same time the mint released its Platinum Maple Leaf. The Silver Maple Leaf was just the second major silver bullion coin released behind the 1986 introduction of the American Silver Eagle, but was the first coin of its kind with .9999 pure silver.

On the obverse of the 2021 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in a 2003 design from Susanna Blunt, who was just the second Canadian artist to create a monarchs portrait for Canadian currency.

The reverse face of 2021 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins includes a design of the sugar maple leaf. This historic image was created in 1979 by Walter Ott for the debut of the Canadian Gold Maple Leafs debut.
