The 2018-W American Eagle One Ounce Palladium Proof Coin is a unique collectible coin. Each coin contains one ounce of .9995 palladium. Like their proof counterparts, reverse proof coins are specially produced from highly polished planchets and dies and often struck more than once to accent the design. They receive the highest quality strike possible and can be distinguished by their mirror-like foreground (design elements) and frosted background, “reversing” the traditional proof finish. This coin’s finish cycles between reverse proof, proof, or uncirculated versions each year.
- The 2018 American Eagle Palladium Coin has a proof finish
- Each coin contains .9995 palladium
- Minted at the West Point Mint in limited quantities
- Gradeed by NGC as PF70
- Hand Signed by Ron Harrigal
- Obverse features designs originally created by Adolph A. Weinman. Most notably, the obverse (heads side) bears a high-relief likeness of his "Winged Liberty" which originally appeared on 1916-1945 Mercury dimes.
