Morgan Dollars are widely considered to be among the most beautiful silver coins ever produced by the United States Mint.  The Morgan silver dollar is extremely popular among coin collectors accross United States. Minted from 1878 to 1904 and then again in 1921, Morgans were produced at the mints in Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco and Carson City, and for one year only in Denver in 1921. Weighing 26.73 grams and are 90% pure silver and contain a silver content of .7734 ounces of pure silver.

Each coin comes certified and encapsulated by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) and will be graded in MS63 Gem Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

Even though there were hundreds of millions of Morgan Silver Dollars struck between 1878 and 1921, hundreds of millions of them have been melted, and many more have been worn down in circulation. The Pittman Act of 1918 was enacted by the U.S. Government, and 270 million Morgan Silver Dollars - nearly half of the entire mintage - met their fate in the melting pots. This fact makes it difficult to assemble sets like this, especially in higher grades such as Gem MS64.

The Morgan Silver Dollar is arguably America’s most popular coin. They are a favorite among collectors and investors due to their fascinating background, gorgeous design, impressive weight, high silver content, and affordable price point. Few coins offer such a fantastic combination of historical, numismatic, and aesthetic appeal.

There’s one more reason why Morgans are such beloved collectibles: the series contains a wide variety of dates. Morgan Silver Dollars were struck every year from 1878 through 1904, then for one final year in 1921. They were made in 21 different years at five different mints; which is highly unusual for any American coin.

The Morgan silver dollar gets its name from its designer, George T. Morgan. The obverse shows Morgan's depiction of Lady Liberty, just below Liberty, the date is displayed. The reverse features a bald eagle clutching an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, surrounded by "United States of America," "One Dollar," and "In God We Trust."
